Is the USB light on the computer modem suppose to be blinking?

I bought a camera and I am suppose to hook the USB calbe up to the computer. I don’t know where to put it , in the slot where the USB is plugged into the drive or beside it. And I was wondering was there anything wrong with my computer because the USB lighton the modem doesn’t blink or isn’t on at all

Plug the USB cord into any USB slot…the small rectangular shaped fellas. Usually there are groups of 2 or 4, and if you are lucky, they will be on the front of the computer.

If it won’t plug in one way, then turn it around and try the other way (they only fit one way).

Follow the directions that came with the camera. You might have to load some driver off of the CD that probably came with the camera first, BEFORE plugging the camera into the computer.

About the modem light – it won’t light up unless you have a USB connection. You probably don’t, you probably have the phone jack looking thing (called an RJ-45 connector) plugged from the modem to the computer. My USB light on the modem never lights up either, because I don’t use the USB wire for my internet connection!
