What can I bring on the Greyhound Bus?

I’m taking my first bus trip on Friday. I’m traveling home from college for the weekend, so I’m not packing much to take with me. Will they allow me to board the bus with a backpack and computer? Or would I have to check my bag in or something?

You can have one carry-on…so fit the laptop into the backpack. Best not to put luggage under the bus if you can help it…they are really good at “losing” bags.
