So, Whole came up with an interesting idea. Conjoint Gaming Departments. I personally love the idea. I think its a thousands times better than the Council. So, what do you guys think?

We are talking about: Finance Departments, Server Box Departments, I do not know, anything that comes to your mind, that is useful and necessary. We will need community leaders, organizers, representatives, etc...

Give us suggestions, let compile a list of possible departments and as many ideas as we can. I will update the post with them. Give a brief description of the function of the department and how it would work, if it is not obvious.


Possible Departments:

*Finance Department
*Community Expansion Department

Forums Department
Helps clean up the forums and make it more organized, and posibly update the Theme once and a while.(*cough* Juani*cough*)

Also we need dedicated members in order for this to work

we would need a meeting on this but for now just compiling a list is good

I need to start distributing power out and when i do i hope to see some leaders step out and help lead conjoint gaming

This is for conjoint gaming only so if you intend to expand your own community this probably may not be for you

Right now i think to start off slowly adding departments would be like
Financial department who would weigh in on the conjointgaming monthly to overall budget and would keep tabs on the money going in and out
They also would suggest what to do and not to do with our budget and would think ahead to make sure we have a stable income or that we dont blow all our money then cant pay the server box lets say

The Administration department would act as a 3rd party towards head admins (yet to establish many of them) in terms of a 2nd opinion to try to combat any corruption that may come out of head admins
e.x. admin is fired for no reason rather than a head admin dislikes him although he does his job well
The Administration department would also keep tabs on who was admin in which server and update their status on the forums

Then we have the others such as the
server tech department which would be comprised of those that work on servers and would be available to help with other servers at request of the head admins. They would help maintain a server technical wise while a head admin can ethier learn that trade or learn another skill of what will get people on a server and get a high traffic server

sounds confusing to me. i thought the whole idea of the 'council' was to have input from every group on every decision that affects CG as a whole. Setting certain people from certain groups to run specific parts would be pretty much the opposite of that.

you see this is taking specific people to do specific roles not for the individual community

The benefits dont really affect the communities in most ways but in terms of ctc lets say i talk to claire and we subject it to cg even more as in
cg rules are ctc rules
ctc money goes to cg account
they become more incorporated into cg


For example the financial department would head what are budget is and using it as an arguement against or for topics or ideas
Now this would affect only cg things like getting a new server up lets say that isnt on the box
The financial department person can come from any of the communities as long as he performs the roles he is tasked with

I think a department like mapmaker and plugin maker would be good and I have the skill to make maps and kind of in plugins, still learning C++ to write the plugins.

I think this would be a more professional way of approaching cg. As a member of the council the one thing we lack is order and getting things done. If we changed our aspect to more of a business like environment we can achieve more.
